NTPC Darlipali joined in celebrating the 87th Foundation Day of Odisha state on 1st April, known as “Utkal Diwas”.
Utkal Diwas or Utakala Dibasa is celebrated on April 1 every year to remember the formation of the Odisha state after a struggle to be recognized as an independent state.
Shri A K Samaiyar, CGM (Darlipali) graced the occasion as chief guest of the evening in the august presence of Smt. Manisha Samaiyar, President (Abhilasha Ladies Club), Shri Shivam Srivastav, HOP (Dulanga), Shri T K Bageshwar, GM (TS), Shri Arnab Maitra, GM (Maintenance), Shri Vishal Mathur, GM (Project), Shri Sanjaya Srivastava, GM (Operation), Shri KMK Prusty, GM (O&M – Project Kanti) and senior members of Abhilasha ladies club.
In his address, CGM (Darlipali) extended his greetings & congratulated the people on the auspicious occasion and highlighted the importance of the day.
Celebrating the same, various events such as Shankha Badan, Hulahuli, Song competition, Pitha competition, Children fancy dress competition, Odia speaking competition for Non-Odia speakers & Jhoti competition were organized marking the occasion of Utkala Dibasa over the period of 4 days, starting from 29th March 2022.
In-house cultural program and authentic Odia food stalls were the special attraction for the four days long celebration. The celebration saw active participation from residents of Shubrajyoti Nagar.
The celebration concluded with vote of thanks from Shri R Mohanty, AGM (C&I Erect).
